By keeping our client hours to a minimum we have found this to create a peaceful and relaxing setting for the dogs so they can play, nap, and enjoy the day with minimum disruption. The gates are closed and remain closed, as soon as all scheduled clients have arrived. We do this for the safety of our guests and staff.
Although it isn't always possible, we will do our best to accommodate you mid-day on the weekdays. Feel free to ask if you need that.
We DO NOT make exceptions for pick up's or drop off's after 5:30 p.m. during the week, on Saturday afternoons, on Sundays or on observed holidays.
We require an overnight stay for your dog before booking your reservation as this helps to give us an idea as to how they will do in this environment. There is no charge to you for the trial and helps to ensure your dog is a good fit at the Ranch.
We are looking for the following things during their trial stay.
1. Can we fully care for them?
2. Can they settle and do they do well in and out of the kennel?
We want your dog to be happy and not stressed. We have found the trials to be very beneficial and allows for worry free travel while you're away.
Our trial times are limited so we reserve them for new clients who have upcoming dates we can accommodate.
We do not offer day care here as we specialize in overnight and long term boarding.
If you are an existing client and you need your dog or cat out of the house on occasion for things like workers we will do our best to help you out!
Day boarding
Dogs: $35
Cats: $20
Subject to availability.
Every dog gets a "house" (kennel) upon arrival. This is where they will sleep, eat and get treats. All dogs get let out to exercise and potty 4 - 6 times per day. We do this in small groups or alone, depending on the guest list and your dog. Outdoor time is rotated to ensure the safety of all guests and allow ample exercise time for all guests.
Yes. We do not board the following types of dogs:
1.Aggressive dogs. We do not require dogs to be dog social to stay at the Ranch but they must be able to safely kennel in the same area and safely pass by other dogs.
They cannot be human aggressive or have a history of aggression towards people.
2. Dogs we are unable to safely care for or administer needed medications to.
3. Overly anxious dogs. We do not board overly anxious dogs. Your dog must be able to quiet and settle in down times. A highly stressed dog can develop not only emotional but physical issues as well. We have also found overly anxious dogs to be disruptive to our other guests.
Yes we do!
Non-social dogs:
All dogs that stay at Ranch must be human friendly but it's perfectly fine if they don't enjoy the company of other dogs. The dogs take turns going out in our fenced area. They either go out alone or in small groups depending on their social status. Non-social dogs must be able to safely board next to and pass by other dogs in the same area.
Dogs that are not spayed and neutered:
We do allow dogs that are not fixed to board here. We cannot guarantee group play as that would depend on the status of the other guests boarding at the same time.
We DO NOT board female dogs that are in heat.
I'm sorry we do not have a professional groomer on site.
We are happy to offer bathing services for your dog.
The cost ranges from $20 - $45 depending on the size of your dog.
We offer Dremel nail trim, if they are good about it, for $15
Yes, we require the bordatella vaccine every 6 months regardless of the type of vaccine you have.
The bordatella vaccine is not 100 percent and has the best defense in the first 6-8 months after it is given so giving it every 6 months will give our guests the best defense we can against kennel cough and hopefully prevent catching and spreading this highly transmittable infection.
We can give it here orally for $25.
No, I'm sorry we do not.
For the wellness of our guests and residents, we do not allow dogs who are unvaccinated to stay at our facility.
We will accept a current titer from your veterinarian.
We do not accept vaccines given by owner.
Yes!
We recommend your puppy or kitten to be at least 6 months old before boarding since they can be more at risk for respiratory infections as they are just beginning to build up their immunity to this great big world!
We understand sometimes this isn't possible so if you must board your new baby before 6 months our requirements are as follows:
Puppies & kittens must be free from intestinal parasites and will need a recent fecal exam with a negative result.
Under 4 months:
They must be current on their puppy/kitten vaccine schedule.
Puppies must have a bordatella to stay.
We also recommend that you speak with your veterinarian before boarding to ensure your puppy/kitten is in good health for this type of environment.
4 months or older:
They must be fully vaccinated with our required vaccines .
